 The
River Centre Clinic is a spacious, comfortable, and
modern treatment facility located in a private setting
in Sylvania, Ohio -- an historic suburb of Toledo,
Ohio. ( Take a Photo
Tour.)
The facility was designed to provide
an attractive alternative to hospital or hospital-based
programs. The main building was newly constructed
in December 1999 and is located on the banks of a
picturesque, 10-mile creek across from a public park
with walking
trails.
The River Centre Clinic is a two-minute walk
to a small shopping area in downtown Sylvania, and
there is easy access to shopping and entertainment.
A three-bedroom home is also located on the River
Centre Clinic campus and offers one of our transitional
living options for program participants.

 The
River Centre Clinic's mission is to provide specialized
and cost-effective treatment for individuals suffering
from eating disorders.
The approach to treatment
conforms to the adaptation of a theoretical cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) model for eating disorders developed over the past
30 years by the founder of the RCC and colleagues.
A cornerstone of this model is its linkage to evidence-based treatment principles whereby treatment implementation
is continually refined through a Performance Improvement
Plan. This plan is designed to monitor and evaluate the quality
and cost-effectiveness of specialized treatment services
delivered to individuals who suffer from eating disorders.
A key to this mission is a staff of highly trained
professionals who have the special technical expertise
as well as the compassion needed to treat individuals
who suffer from eating disorders.

The River Centre Clinic offers
an independent living area as a safe and comfortable
living option for women participating in the
Partial Hospitalization Program. The independent
living area provides shared rooms and a common
living area conveniently located on the south
end of the second level of the main treatment
facility. The rooms are brightly colored and
have their own bathroom.
The common living area
has an entertainment center, high-speed Internet
access, a kitchen, and laundry facilities.
There
is always a clinical professional staff member
on call, and adolescent residential care workers
are always available in the main treatment building.

| Our
Vision
The River Centre Clinic's primary purpose
is to provide high quality, cost-effective, specialized
care for patients
with eating disorders in a state-of-the-art treatment
environment. The
levels of care deemed most cost-effective for the majority
of these patients is Partial Hospitalization for adults
and Residential Treatment for adolescents.
A secondary
focus is to provide outpatient services for this patient
population in order to facilitate transition to and from
the above higher
levels of care that are usually required for effective treatment of this population.
We take pride in working with persons with language, hearing, vision, and other special needs by involving other agencies and professionals to supplement and individualize the care that we provide at the River Centre Clinic. |
